From the Land of Kansas- Sammy Gleason

Sammy Gleason is a passionate advocate for Kansas-made products and the people behind them, serving as a the program manager for the From the Land of Kansas program at the Kansas Department of Agriculture. In her role, she helps promote and connect consumers with products that are grown, raised, or produced across the state—championing local businesses and celebrating Kansas agriculture in all its forms.

Raised in Smith Center, Kansas, Sammy grew up surrounded by agriculture as part of a fourth-generation farming family. While her roots were firmly planted in rural Kansas, her career path took an unexpected turn—from initially pursuing nursing to discovering a passion for marketing and relationship-building. After earning a degree in leadership studies and gaining hands-on experience in social media and marketing, she found her calling in work that blends storytelling, community, and purpose.

Since joining From the Land of Kansas in 2020, Sammy has played a vital role in elevating the program’s visibility and impact. She works directly with farmers, ranchers, and small business owners across the state—helping them market their products, expand their reach, and share their stories with new audiences. From coordinating statewide initiatives to developing creative promotions like curated gift boxes, her work connects Kansas producers to consumers both locally and nationwide.
