Claire Ludes is a dynamic leader blending community impact, strategic growth, and a passion for storytelling in her role as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at the Cosmosphere. With a career rooted in service and leadership, Claire previously served as Executive Director of the Salina Area United Way and held key roles with OCCK, along with managing multi-location retail operations in Wichita—experiences that shaped her strength in people-focused leadership and organizational development.

Recruited for her ability to build relationships and drive mission-based growth, Claire stepped into her role at the Cosmosphere nearly two years ago, quickly embracing both the rich history of space exploration and the organization’s forward-looking vision. Today, she leads development efforts, fosters partnerships with aerospace leaders and donors, and helps guide the strategic direction of one of the world’s premier space museums.

Claire is especially passionate about the Cosmosphere’s role in inspiring future generations through hands-on STEM education, immersive storytelling, and real-world connections to the aerospace industry. She is a strong advocate for expanding awareness of how space exploration impacts everyday life—and for ensuring Kansas plays a key role in shaping that future.
