Brad Anderson is a lifelong Salinan and multi-generation Kansan who has dedicated much of his career to strengthening arts and culture in central Kansas. As Executive Director of Salina Arts & Humanities, he leads the only municipal arts and culture departments in Kansas. Overseeing programs in arts education, public art, cultural planning, community events, and the Smoky Hill Museum.


A passionate advocate for the role of arts and humanities in community development, Anderson has been involved in shaping Salina's cultural landscape for decades. He has served on multiple cultural planning initiatives and works to connect residents, artists, businesses, and organizations through programs that enhance quality of life and foster civic engagement.


Under his leadership, Salina Arts & Humanities continues to support nationally recognized programs such as the Smoky Hill River Festival, public art initiatives, and community-wide cultural planning efforts. Anderson is committed to ensuring that arts and culture remain accessible, relevant, and impactful for future generations of Kansans.

Brad and his wife have been married for more than 44 years and are proud parents of three children and seven grandchildren. He remains deeply invested in the community that has been home to his family for generations.
