Rosa Cavazos serves as a Special Projects Coordinator with Kansas Tourism (Kansas Department of Commerce), where she helps lead statewide initiatives that inspire Kansans to get involved, explore, and celebrate what makes the state unique. Rosa supports Kansas 250—Kansas’s official effort to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary in 2026—along with other programs like Love, Kansas, working with communities and partner organizations to create events, campaigns, and opportunities that build pride and connection across the state.
Beyond her professional work in tourism, Rosa is deeply rooted in community service and leadership. She is involved with MANA de Topeka (a local chapter of MANA, A National Latina Organization) and has been recognized through national-level engagement focused on advocacy and leadership for Latinas. Her work reflects a consistent focus on uplifting stories, strengthening communities, and encouraging Kansans to share their history and resilience—especially through the Kansas 250 theme of celebrating perseverance and progress.
